Blackmagic Design has announced new prices for its Teranex VC100 dual-channel video processor. The Teranex VC100, now priced at USD19,995, includes all available processing for one price. This feature set and processing previously cost nearly USD90,000.

Digieffects v2.5 - Damage and Delirium

Digieffects has updated and optimized their plugin effects to be Adobe CS5/64-bit compatible and have added some great new tools to their suite of tools! Both Damage v2.5 and Delirium v2.5 are fully compatible with the latest versions of After Effects, Premiere Pro, FCP and Edius. Even better news, this is a free upgrade for registered v2.0 owners!

Hollywood DI, Sony, Blackmagic demo workflow

Digital image technology took another step forward with a demonstration earlier this month on The Lot in West Hollywood. At the event, post-production house Hollywood DI, Sony Electronics and Blackmagic Design showed for the first time the processing of the Sony F65 camera's RAW and SRFile footage using Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve software.

Getting Ready for 2012: SpeedGrade Video Demo

Late in 2011 Adobe announced it had acquired a number of assets from IRIDAS. One of those assets is the color grading application SpeedGrade. This is a good thing because, with the demise of Apple Color, that leaves Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve as pretty much the only affordable, powerful, standalone color-grading software.
