I met with Mark in LA in the Alfred Hitchcock theatre on the Universal lot. After meeting with many editors I’ve realized that there are some key characteristics of many editors. Many editors have music experience or have worked in the sound department and many editors have an interest in architecture. However, one interest that many editors don’t mention that I believe, not all but many have, that is comics and graphic novels. This is one thing that Mark and I began discussing and got to share with each other many different graphic novels that we both enjoyed.
This is the final part of my three part interview with Mark Livolsi. Mark talks about editing The Wedding Crashers, cutting music for Cameron Crowe and working on the Devil Wears Prada.
