Apple launched into February with an eagerly awaited free update to Final Cut Pro X. Apple uses the Mac OS X numbering scheme, so the official update is 10.0.3, which would be equivalent to a version 1.3 release in other products.

Everybody who even dabbles in color grading seems to be excited about the first affordable color surface by Tangent, the Ripple. With a price that's roughly a third of other surfaces, it's a very interesting product indeed.

Magic Leap, the mysterious US tech startup with more venture capital than you can shake a Pacific Heights condo at, recently posted an incredibly impressive video of a collaboration with Lucasfilm. The video shows off Magic Leap’s mixed-reality technology, which is essentially a headset that allows users to see, hear, and interact with a computer-graphic hyperreality superimposed onto normal, everyday waking life, including all of the odds and ends in your living room. Sounds cool!
