I’ve mentioned before that one of the best books on screenwriting I’ve read is actually about editing: “In the Blink of an Eye”, written by the esteemed Walter Murch. Here is a nice video (18 minutes long), a PowerPoint presentation with Murch talking about the “three fathers of cinema”: Beethoven, Flaubert, Edison.

A new episode of the Chaos Group audio podcast is online . On the menu, an interview with Bilali Mack, VFX supervisor working on films and series ( Power Book II: Ghost, One of ours ). The interview evokes in particular the tool Flame of Autodesk, the way in which Bilali Mack directs smoke and blood in the service of the narration.
