VENICE, CA -- Shotgun has teamed up with Tweak on a new product that provides digital studios with an all-in-one review toolset. Revolver combines production tracking and review, making it easy for teams at any location to view their latest work in context of the cut, browse and compare iterations, annotate on images, write notes, and collaborate on work in realtime. Shotgun and Tweak are showing Revolver at NAB, and are also hosting demos online (www.shotgunsoftware.com/revolver).

HOLLYWOOD — Panavision’s creative services company Light Iron (lightiron.com) has added senior colorist Nicholas Hasson to its roster. He will be based in the company’s Los Angeles facility and brings with him both television and film credits, including work on the upcoming Tiffany Haddish feature Nobody’s Fool and Season 2 of HBO’s Room 104.

EMERYVILLE, CA — The name Ed Catmull has been synonymous with computer graphics for decades. And it will continue to be so, even as he moves into retirement at the end of this year. Catmull, 73, announced his plans this week, and word quickly spread throughout the industry. The Pixar co-founder and president of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, will serve as a consultant through the end of July.
