I had an interesting debate with a music editor friend the other day. Frustrated (as we all are) with the hoops you have to jump through to move material back and forth between Media Composer and Pro Tools, he suggested that MC simply start using Pro Tools as its audio engine.

In this premium video tutorial, Julian Rodgers demonstrates how to use the new snap to next and previous edit actions shortcut introduced in Pro Tools 2019.5, it’s a neat shortcut and is the jumping off point for this tutorial in which Julian looks a some other shortcuts based around the comma and period keys.

One of Avengers: Endgame’s big spoilers is the fact that several main characters go back in time to New York during the major clash that occurred there during The Avengers (2012). Staging scenes that offered glimpses of the past battle, but also other ‘angles’ or characters within that past world was a huge logistical challenge, including for the visual effects artists on the film.

Adobe’s recent decision to scrap its smaller price plans for Creative Cloud angered many of its loyal customers. The company then discontinued older versions of its applications and restricted the software available for download. Now, to make matters worse, customers using older versions are being warned they may face legal action.

Crafted by the incredible writer John Kelley, produced by the unstoppable Francesco Loschiavo and directed and edited by yours truly (Devin Clarke).

Although it has a bevy of awards to its name and made almost $1 billion at the box office, Bohemian Rhapsody has faced quite a bit of criticism. The aspect of the film that has perhaps received the most criticism is the editing, particularly in the scene where Queen first meets manager John Reid, played by Mr. Chaos is a Ladder himself, Aidan Gillen. And that scene has been held up as evidence that Bohemian Rhapsody did not deserve all of its many accolades.
