New York editorial post house Beast announced the addition of editor Shira Ankori to its roster. For the last decade Ankori has been editing spots for dozens of major brands, including Taco Bell, Toyota, Walmart, DIRECTV, Merrill Lynch, SONY and Chevy.

Qube Cinema introduced the new Quad 3G interface for digital cinema projectors at NAB. The Quad 3G interface allows for integrated postproduction and digital cinema mastering workflows. Facilities can use one projector setup for both HD-4K uncompressed color grading and 2K-4K digital cinema playback providing a comprehensive review and quality control system.

<strong>Adobe Systems</strong> will giving the first public demonstrations of Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium - including major updates for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and Adobe After Effects CS6 at NAB next week. Creative Suite 6 Production Premium will also be presented in more than 60 partner booths throughout the show. The upcoming release, expected in the first half of 2012, will feature across-the-board performance and workflow enhancements.

The culmination of a 12 year odyssey, The Three Stooges is a testament to the tenacity of co-directors Bobby and Peter Farrelly. Editor Sam Seig reports the production was the exact opposite of the antic chaos that unfolds on screen. "This was a completely buttoned down shoot" Seig said. "The Farrelly Brothers polished every scene for a tight but realistic three-month shooting schedule. Thanks to Sixteen19, I didn't have a moment of technical down time at any point in the shoot."

Shotgun announced it has teamed up with Tweak Software on a new product called Revolver that provides digital studios with an all-in-one review toolset. Revolver combines production tracking and review, making it easy for teams in any location to view their latest work in context of the cut, browse and compare iterations, annotate on images, write notes, and collaborate on work in real-time.

Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, announced the addition of a new facility in Vancouver, B.C., expanding its network of postproduction facilities dedicated to serving a television clientele. Current Encore locations include Hollywood and New York as well as sister Deluxe television facility Level in Burbank, Calif. These facilities share a common network that allows them to share media seamlessly, maximizing efficiency and capacity.

Digital Vision will unveil several enhancements to its Nucoda color grading platform at NAB, providing increased workflow capabilities and additional tools for grading, pre-grading and stereoscopic projects. The company will introduce the new Nucoda Film Master ACES workflow, a new interchange format developed by the Science and Technology Council (STC) of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It was designed to ensure accurate color reproduction throughout the workflow.

MTI Film has added support for the Canon EOS C300 camera to the current version of its Control Dailies digital workflow system. Postproduction facilities and other Control Dailies users can now provide a streamlined workflow for dailies processing and digital deliverables generation to feature film and television productions using Canon's new camera.

Advertising agency Element 79 recently tapped production company DETOX to help create "Rock the Cut" - an integrated ad campaign for Supercuts. Led by director Barney Miller, DETOX helmed the production, teaming up with HOOLIGAN for editorial and TANQ for graphics and finishing.

At NAB 2012, FilmLight will introduce FLIP - a new, real-time image processing system that lets the creative production team design looks in pre-production and apply and refine them on set. Employing a Baselight GPU renderer with Truelight Colour Management, FLIP can create and store an unlimited number of pre-set looks and spatial filters which can then be applied and refined in real time on set.

The Foundry announced that Reliance MediaWorks has purchased a site license of Katana. The licenses will be utilized at Reliance MediaWorks' UK and Mumbai facilities. Working across geographies in this way requires a robust, flexible VFX pipeline and Reliance MediaWorks looked to The Foundry's NUKE and Katana to provide the key building blocks.
