    SANTA MONICA -- Company 3 (www.bydeluxe.com) provided color grading services for four different versions of 20th Century Fox's new film, Prometheus. Directed by Ridley Scott, the 3D sci-fi/thriller is a prequel to the Alien franchise and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Charlize Theron.

The latter includes re-mastering Jerry Maguire, Men in Black and  The Deep. At Roundabout, he will service a diverse clientele, including his current project, the animated series T eenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Nickelodeon.

      Oscars: 10 films remain in VFX race

      LOS ANGELES – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (www.oscars.org) announced that 10 films remain in the running in the Visual Effects category for the 89th Academy Awards. The Academy’s Visual Effects Branch Executive Committee determined the shortlist. All members of the Visual Effects Branch will now be invited to view 10-minute excerpts from each of the shortlisted films.  Following the screenings, the members will vote to nominate five films for final Oscar consideration.
