CHICAGO — Cutters Studios (http://www.cuttersstudios.com) has promoted Billy Montross to editor. He began his career as a PA for Chicago-based director John Komnenich, and was soon introduced to Cutters editor Tom Brassil. UNIVERSAL CITY, CA — American Cinema Editors (ACE) have announced the nominations for its 68th Annual ACE Eddie Awards. The awards recognize outstanding editing in 10 categories of film, television and documentaries. LOS ANGELES – One hundred and forty one scores from eligible feature-length motion pictures released in 2017 are in contention for nominations in the Original Score category for the 90th Academy Awards. To be eligible, the original score must be a substantial body of music that serves as original dramatic underscoring, and must be written specifically for the motion picture by the submitting composer.
