Since the last issue of CineMontage went to press, Adobe Systems Incorporated has launched its much-heralded new version of the Creative Suite. Creative Suite 6 includes updated versions of all of Adobe's cross-platform products, including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Adobe Audition (as well as Photoshop, Illustrator and the rest of the applications that form the Master Collection).

Great question. I was wondering when someone would ask about the pros and cons of using the Matrox MX02 Mini MAX with and without CUDA GPU acceleration. Starting with Premiere Pro CS6, Adobe now allows CUDA GPU acceleration to be passed on to 3rd party I/O devices from AJA, Blackmagic Design...

When Apple released Final Cut Pro X last year, many veterans were up in arms. FCPX wasn't just an update to the program they'd come to rely on--it was a complete departure from what they were used to. You either loved it or hated it, and Adobe was only too pleased to welcome new clients to its platform. With Premiere Pro CS6, Adobe is working very hard to make sure its clientele stays put.

You probably caught the news that Red Giant acquired the Audio Syncing technology (such as PluralEyes) from Singular Software. (see press release below) We're pretty jazzed but, we know you probably have questions about what this means for the future of Singular technology, not to mention simple things like upgrade policies now that that the software has changed hands - or has it?
