Remove Vocals from Music in your edit

    June 29, 2010, 6:03 pm
I run into a lot of situations where I put music under an edit and I have vo on top. This combination ends up failing on almost every piece of music that has vocals because it sounds like a trainwreck. Often I will have creatives ask me if I can "turn down the vocals" as if I somehow can pull the multitrack mix out of the low bitrate mp3 that they just emailed me.

Blackmagic Design Announces DaVinci Resolve 14

      April 24, 2017, 4:18 pm
(Las Vegas, NV--April 24, 2017) Blackmagic Design today announced DaVinci Resolve 14, the biggest release in the history of the product, and an update that has been designed to be more than an incremental software update, but a complete revolution in post production. Blackmagic Design believes the new DaVinci Resolve will break through the stagnant toolsets used in post production, and offer a new path forward for the smallest as well as the largest facilities in the world.

NAB always brings out the big announcements and updates, and 2017 is no different. Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve is up for a boost with improvements in playback, color, and audio — not to mention a price drop that will certainly turn a few heads.

How to move between DAZ Studio and Cinema 4D

      April 24, 2017, 9:28 am
Moving between programs can be confusing. I tend to stick to four food groups – Cinema 4D, ZBrush, DAZ Studio and Marvelous Designer – to keep from going insane. Every program has its quirks and I seem to run into them all.
