Five years ago I set up an edit suite in a client's office. Brand new shinyG5, flat-screen monitors, FireWire deck, all state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line.
This week I set up an edit suite once again, for the same client in the same office. This time it was a new shiny 8-core Nehalem, 2.26, nice large monitors, drives to install, Final Cut Pro to upgrade.
