It was just over a year ago when I posted a post that began the "Twitter about editing" experiment. I had signed up for Twitter around a year before that but really never used the service since I didn’t have a good group to follow nor did I really know what to talk about. The popular mp3 format was co-developed by Thomson and the Fraunhofer Institute IIS. The new mp3HD format includes additional side information, which, together with the mp3 portion of the file, can be decoded by an mp3HD-capable decoder. Standard mp3 players can simply play the mp3 portion of the file.

Apple will be hosting a lecture on post production on Wed. March 25th, 2009 in Toronto, Canada. The co-editors of Bruce McDonald's "The Tracey Fragments", Matt Hannam and Gareth C. Scales will discuss their work on the film as well as their current work.

A couple of great suggestions for creating flawless H.264 Quicktime—and Flash!—movies popped up in the comments section of my last article. They deserve their own article. Reader Brandon Cory suggests that exporting a Quicktime reference movie from Final Cut Pro in the Animation codec and then running that through Compressor’s H.264 encoder should retain the proper gamma settings.
