We all copy and paste sections of timelines in Final Cut Pro X. Micha Blazer's discovery of a cheap app called Copy'em Paste turbocharges the CMD C & V keyboard shortcuts right in FCPX. It's a great find!

Again, like 2016, most of the interesting news for Final Cut Pro users actually happened outside of the NAB show. Coremelt announced two new products that are in beta. Scribeomatic for automatic transcription of dialogue and Chromatic, a colour grading plugin with built-in tracking.

Two bits of good news. 3D and VR plugin developer Tim Dashwood has joined Apple. Not only is that good news for FCPX users, he has also made his existing plugin products free.

We reported on the release of FindrCat back in November. Now Phil And Greg from Intelligent Assistance have released FindrCat Pro. This is an in app purchase in FindrCat that now keeps FCPX metadata when round tripping through Finder.
