In this free video tutorial, brought to you with the support of Waves, you will learn how to add attitude to your vocal tracks using the delay effects section in Waves Kramer Master Tape Plug-in. Back in 2011 when Waves released Kramer Tape I thought this was one of the best sounding tape emulations around. Waves included an additional delay section (not found on the original hardware) that over the years has become a valuable effect in my vocal plug-in chain when I work on rockabilly, country and rock music. Watch the video to hear how I use the delay section in Waves Kramer Tape to add attitude and depth to lead vocals.

Color Match is new in the April, 2018, update to Adobe Premiere Pro CC. What it does is allow you to compare two shots side by side, then automatically select color and gray-scale data from a reference image and apply it to the current shot.

We were able to sit down with VFX Supervisor Adam Clark at NAB to pick his brain about the history of Fusion and its future with Blackmagic. As long-time Fusion user, Clark has seen many iterations of the node-based compositor, which was already a robust program when it was originally authored by eyeon, but says that the game has been changed now that Fusion has made its way into the hands of Blackmagic.

For the Film/VFX Character portion of the Beneath the Waves Challenge, participants were tasked with producing a rendered aquatic character with no paintovers. Strong composition, modeling, texturing and lighting were the main judging criteria to evaluate the entries.
