    Fremont, CA - March 20, 2013 - Blackmagic Design today announced that IGN Pro League (IPL) used Blackmagic Design’s ATEM Camera Converters, Micro Videohub, Videohub Master Control, H.264 Pro Recorders, DeckLink Quad capture and playback cards and Mini Converters HDMI to SDI, Audio to SDI and SDI Distribution to support its professional eSports tournaments at SXSW Gaming 2013.

      Cintel Preserves Thousands of Reels of Film

      Blackmagic Design today announced that its Cintel Scanner and DaVinci Resolve Studio are being used by Paul Gerrish, of Cypress Gardens Treasure, to scan close to 6,000 reels of 16mm and 35mm film from the 1930s through to the 1980s.

      Kei Ikeda Uses URSA Mini Pro for Music Videos

      Blackmagic Design today announced that Kei Ikeda, one of Japan’s leading music video DP, videographer and screenwriter, and also the founder of production company ISAI, used Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K to shoot a number of music videos. He has used the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K to shot videos for some of Japan’s leading musical acts, including popular artists such as KOTORI and Hysteric Panic.

      'Kingsman' Uses DaVinci Resolve Studio

      DaVinci Resolve Studio has been used throughout production and post production on 20th Century Fox’s “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” including SDR and HDR delivery. Joshua Callis-Smith was responsible for the onset dailies while the online edit and final DI were completed by Goldcrest Post.

It was shot by Kei Takahashi, a Cameraman and founder of Tokyo-based KID Co. Ltd., on location on and above the highways of California.

      DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel Used for Commercials

      Blackmagic Design today announced that Nina Chadha, Local 600 D.I.T., used DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel and DaVinci Resolve Studio for on-set color grading on commercials for Pepperidge Farms and Virgin Mobile. Chadha, who provided a full set of D.I.T. services for the national campaigns, also used a number of other Blackmagic Design products including a Smart Videohub 20x20 router, SmartView Duo monitor and UltraStudio Mini Monitor for on-set monitoring.

To assist FCP 7 editors, we have prepared a short video that outlines the similarities between editing in DaVinci Resolve 14 and Final Cut Pro 7.       DaVinci Resolve Studio Edits Big Red Ad Campaign

      Blackmagic Design today announced that its URSA Mini Pro digital film camera was used by video production company Ice Cream Entertainment LLC to shoot an ad campaign for Big Red soda. DaVinci Resolve Studio was also used to edit, grade and finish the spots by brothers Andrew and Nate Garcia, who own and operate the production company.
