Half a year after the first “Maison Quérigut” work, I returned to Le pays du Donezan for a second approach. In the beginning, talking with Gil about this series of videos, we accorded to make them seasonal. But when I saw the result of the first one I realized that the following one should be different. Very different. I soon opted to drive it towards documentary field where I feel confident. I had the need to tell something apart from taking good pictures. I needed to tell a little story.

In march 12, 2013, I presented a what could be my salvation to audio in a DSLR system. In that post I talked about a ETSLAN PA912, a cable that transforms Balanced audio signals to Unbalanced. Then I promised to post some tests. I only published a little sample with the Rhode NTG-2 shotgun microphone. Now, a year later and after a lot of projects, I bring you some more examples with diferent mics and situations.

In fact, it is not an audio test. It is the shooting of a “low-budget” ad, but it will show some real life situations with the following setup: Panasonic GH3- audio gain at +19, almost all the time. Rhode NTG-2 shotgun mic, with 1 AA battery Rode SM3 Camera Shoe Shock Mount ETS PA912 DSLR cable, a balanced 2 unbalanced transformer. 6×6 room, with closed windows but near a 6 lane street in Barcelona.
