Al Mooney, Adobe, and Editing’s Possible Future

    April 22, 2013, 12:10 pm
Last week I met with Al Mooney and we discussed Premiere Pro, however, we also diverged into the area of Adobe Edge and the future possibilities of editing. Definitely, something you don’t want to miss.

Last week I met with Al Mooney and we discussed Premiere Pro, however, we also diverged into the area of Adobe Edge and the future possibilities of editing. Definitely, something you don’t want to miss. I also mention during the interview The Wilderness Downtown (Requires Google Chrome) and The Johnny Cash Project both of which could have benefited from a relationship between Adobe Edge and Premiere Pro.

How Composers Create The Sound of a Killer

      April 24, 2015, 2:47 pm
Why would an accused murderer want someone to ask them questions they probably do not want to answer? Doing so did not work out so well for Robert Durst, the subject of The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, which seemed to end with Durst admitting his involvement in the crimes he was accused of and is now back on trial.

Watch A Great Roar: Motorcycles and Tigers

      April 24, 2015, 2:47 pm
In footage from Jurassic World, we see Chris Pratt riding a motorcycle amongst a pack of velociraptors. But the raptors are just CG creations; while the image is cool, it’s not actually dangerous to create. In the movie Roar, there’s a sequence where a guy rides a motorcycle through a pack of lions and tigers, and it’s the real deal.

Adobe Dynamic linking between Premiere and After Effects, plus I get into linking between Premiere and Audition and Premiere and Photoshop. I also touch on creating fire in Photoshop and Lightroom CC's new panorama creation tool. This demo was for the Morgantown Multimedia User Group - we were discussing Adobe time savers.

If you’ve never heard of Stu Maschwitz you’ve definitely heard of the products he helps design and sell, notably: Colorista and Magic Bullet Looks for Red Giant Software. Just before NAB 2015 he wrote a blog post about evaluating color correction software. Near the end he makes a comment that I’ve got a problem with...
