It's true.They have a personal vendetta against assistant editors. Not the camera operators mind you. The cameras themselves. Absolutely! If you right click in the Timeline window and choose Timeline Settings. (Project Window | Settings Tab) Go to the Edit Tab and choose the configuration you want for new sequences.

A master clip (without the line) can be one of two things: A clip that is offline. A clip that isn't on a shared storage system. A master clip (with the line) indicates that the media for that clip is on a shared storage system. This also applies to audio clips and subclips.
