One year ago today, I started this blog. 45 posts later, I realize that I might have something worth continuing and never imagined the incredible support I would get from readers, as well as terrific bloggers like Craig Simpson, Jason Bellamy, Ed Howard amongst others (please visit all of the blogs listed on the right side of this page) who usually comment here.

The ASE would like to announce a screening of the Oscar nominated Miracle Fish and a discussion with Director/Writer/Editor Luke Doolan. "Days of Our Lives is a completely in-house operation," says lead editor and associate director Lugh Powers. "Deadlines are intense. The production company requires the maximum in speed, flexibility and reliability to produce a daily one-hour program. Because we have such a fast turnaround from production to air, we get pretty aggressive with time management and efforts to streamline the workflow."

I have recently been scanning in slides and negatives from my young adult days, and I’m really wishing I’d entered more metadata at the time. That would have been too easy. Anyway, I thought it was worthwhile examining the different metadata I found/used in indexing these old slides.
