This is the second of several episodes covering a workflow for using Red Digital Cinema Cameras with your Avid editing application. When FCP hit the world back in 1999 the program was regarded as a video editing application. For those wishing to work with film, and match the negative to the edit produced within Final Cut, this was a formidable challenge. When Walter Murch was investigating using Final Cut Pro to edit Cold Mountain, he and his assistant, Sean Cullen, visited a Los Angeles post facility known as DigitalFilm Tree to see what was possible.
