    You know those little post-it note pads that come in multiple colors? Ok, admit it now. Do you ever color-code your notes? Maybe yellow notes are financial, pink ones are hot to-do items. Well with Final Cut Pro 7, you can now use color to label your markers in a very similar way. There are several other marker improvements as well.

      Premiere: Ingest Settings Pt 1: Copy & Transcode

      A recent addition to Premiere Pro is a new tab in the ‘New Project’ dialogue box called ‘Ingest Settings,’ which has to do with both bringing assets into you project AND for the creation of light-weight versions of your footage used to make editing faster.

      We are so ecstatic to move into final color on our film Mushka. In this scene above we find out that Sarah's and Mushka's sleeping quarters have gotten too small for a girl and a Siberian tiger. Mushka turns over in bed, causing Sarah to fall to the floor. A color pencil texture will be added in order to avoid the conventional cel-painted look. Our final color scenes rock!!

      Zumbrunnen, Editor on Every Spike Jonze Movie, Die

      Eric Zumbrunnen, film editor and longtime Spike Jonze collaborator, has died at age 52 following a battle with cancer. The editor worked on every Spike Jonze feature, either by himself or with co-editor Jeff Buchanan, and he won the ACE Award for Best Edited Feature Film for “Being John Malkovich.”
