The new Premiere Pro CS4 4.2 and Adobe Media Encoder CS4 4.2 offer new improvements and enhancements to CS4 video workflows. With the 4.2 update, Premiere Pro now offers users of Panasonic’s AVC-Intra line of P2 cameras the chance to edit in native AVC-Intra format. This has been a longtime coming for AVC-Intra users and they can now enjoy the advantages of Adobe CS4 tapeless workflows and native editing.

Director Ang Lee’s Gemini Man, in which actor Will Smith will star as a retiring NSA agent facing off against a younger clone of himself, is set for an October 2019 release date from Paramount. It’s likely to be made possible with advancements in de-aging visual effects techniques, the kind seen in films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Captain America: The First Avenger, and other recent Marvel releases.

Music videos are a lot of fun to make. You can get as creative as you want, try new and exciting cinematic techniques, and experiment with the way you tell stories. However, plenty of filmmakers have gone a little too far (or not far enough) with the added liberty and latitude and taken their projects into unfortunate territories, but editor Justin Odisho has put together a list of five of the most common "mistakes" found in music videos in hopes that you might be able to avoid them (or fix them if you've already made them).

While the chatter from the super kinetic seventh season of Game of Thrones begins to fade, some of the key folks who helped bring the season to life are showing off their work. Perhaps the most technically ambitious season yet, including massive set pieces, a lot of digital work, and the show’s usual array of incredible locations mixed with stage and green screen work, season 7 brought out the best from some of the most highly respected below-the-line creatives in the industry.
