      June 16, 2020, 1:35 pm
“Every inch of this world is designed,” says Emmy-winning visual effects supervisor Jay Worth for HBO’s “Westworld.” Season 3 of the sci-fi series pushed the story out of the titular theme park and into the real world of the future, which presented a whole new set of challenges. Watch the exclusive video interview above.

Scene Edit Detection and Stock Audio coming to Pre

      June 16, 2020, 1:35 pm
Browse stock audio right from the Essential Sound panel and get a waveform-like feature for the ever-important visual reference. I say waveform-like as it doesn’t look like a true waveform but you can see peaks and valleys which is very important when getting sucked into the rabbit hole of searching for music. It will be nice to be able to preview unwatermarked versions right in your edit very quickly and they say you can preview in your edit without downloading. And then purchase and license them with ease.

Da 5 Bloods Composer Terence Blanchard on That Ope

      June 15, 2020, 4:56 pm
Composer and musician Terence Blanchard is synonymous with the work of Spike Lee. Starting with 1991’s Jungle Fever, Blanchard has composed the score for almost every single Spike Lee joint, and the musician’s work is as striking and diverse as Lee’s films. Blanchard received his first-ever Oscar nomination for his work on Lee’s 2018 film BlacKkKlansman (which also scored Lee’s first-ever competitive Oscar win for Best Adapted Screenplay), and one would think in following up that incredibly well-received film that Lee would maybe take a break or at least take it easy. Instead, he made Da 5 Bloods—an ambitious and confrontational film about the Vietnam War, among other things—as quickly as possible.
