    The Foundry updates Mari digital paint tool

    LONDON — Visual effects software developer The Foundry (www.thefoundry.co.uk) has released Mari 1.4, the latest version of its 3D digital painting tool. Designed to meet the needs of VFX texture and matte painting artists, Mari is capable of handling vast numbers of pixels, and allows artists to concentrate on painting detailed, multi-layered textures directly onto 3D models in a fluid and natural way.

He began his career as a PA for Chicago-based director John Komnenich, and was soon introduced to Cutters editor Tom Brassil. He secured an internship in 2012, and by early 2013, had earned the role of assistant editor, supporting many of the Cutters editors and clients, but primarily working with managing editor Grant Güstafson.

      LOS ANGELES – One hundred and forty one scores from eligible feature-length motion pictures released in 2017 are in contention for nominations in the Original Score category for the 90th Academy Awards. To be eligible, the original score must be a substantial body of music that serves as original dramatic underscoring, and must be written specifically for the motion picture by the submitting composer.
