Troubleshooting within Avid can be a frustrating venture at best and at its worst, you start looking for a new job in a different career field. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way if you have the patience and time to do the right thing by Avid. Working with Avid is akin to baking...

This is a tricky question but I will try to answer it as best as I can. Find Bin is supposed to allow you to find the original bin of the clip or sequence loaded in the source monitor. However, if that clip originally existed in another project before being used in the current project...

I am back for some more testing and if you have been keeping track, PluralEyes is down by 1. There is a question floating out there about entry-level assistant editors. It's a good question and I am surprised that I haven't thought to address it before. What do I need to know to be an assistant editor? Of all the questions to ask, that is probably the hardest to answer. Ask any post-production coordinator...

Show Reference Clips is a function that allows you to view all of the clips associated with the sequence in that bin. It is a helpful function because it doesn't require you to have all of the bins open that contain the footage for the sequence. Show Reference Clips can be found by clicking on [...]
