A Service Pack was just released for Smoke Advanced, and Smoke for MAC, as well as the other systems products. (Inferno, Flame, Flame Premium, Flare, Flint, Lustre) If you are on Subscription, log into the Autodesk Subscription Center to download your Service Pack software. If you aren't on Subscription, then get on it.

Autodesk Smoke is now available in its first Pre-Release Trial. I am sure you have many questions, so here are a few answers. I have been a beta tester for Smoke 2013, and have been a long time user. So beyond that, I have no inside knowledge of the development decisions.
