LOS ANGELES -- American Cinema Editors (ACE) has elected a new leadership team. Kevin Tent, ACE is the new president succeeding Stephen Rivkin, ACE who has served in that capacity since 2016. Per ACE bylaws, Tent will serve a two-year term.

Sounds In Sync EdiMarker 2 has been announced. The release of EdiMarker V2 means that all the tools from Sounds In Sync are now 64-bit applications and so are now compatible with macOS Catalina. It should also mean that support for macOS Big Sur should be a little quicker in coming. In this article we have the details of all the new features add to EdiMarker in version 2.

Back in August, we covered the Warp Stabilizer plug-in in After Effects (which is also now included in Premiere Pro). This tool automatically scans footage looking for edges and “planes” such as the walls of buildings or other features, and re-renders the footage with a smoother camera move imposed upon it.

A new tool now available production and asset management is Tangent Labs’ LoUPE. It’s cloud-based and recently went live in the AWS Marketplace.
