Editor Lisa Bromwell on Cutting The Surrogate

    January 27, 2012, 4:02 pm

But O'Brien had, against the odds, a successful writing career...

How to Get the Best Results in Slow Motion in Prem

      May 25, 2017, 3:41 am
Today's cameras, even the ones in smartphones, are capable of recording high frame rates at pretty decent resolutions (at least 720p). What does this mean? Slow motion for pretty much everyone! However, a lot of entry level cameras only get as high as 60 fps, which is definitely slow(er) motion than the standard 24 fps and 30 fps, but it certainly doesn't produce that real buttery smooth, honey-like slow mo you typically see in today's videos.

Understanding The Tracking Options In AE

      May 24, 2017, 4:07 am
If you’re a even a moderate After Effects user, chances are you’ve used the tracking tools. Now, After Effects has multiple options for motion tracking, like using MochaAE and the built-in 3d Camera Tracker. Luma Pictures had to look at some pretty horrible

      May 23, 2017, 4:16 pm
For Alien: Covenant, Ridley Scott’s newest deep dive into his Alien universe, Luma Pictures was called upon to create visual effects for several sequences. Luma also delivered some other-wordly lamps inside the lab of the synthetic David. They rounded out the work with set extensions and graphics. And they killed James Franco.
