Blackmagic Design has today announced its Production Camera 4K digital film camera was one of only two camera packages to be used in the production of “War and Peace,” a new adaptation by the BBC, based on Tolstoy’s classic novel. The six part drama was lensed by director of photography (DP) George Steel, and graded on DaVinci Resolve Studio by colorist Simone Grattarola.

Blackmagic Design today announced that the new 360 degree virtual reality music video for Latin Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Ivete Sangalo was graded by O2 Filmes using DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio. Debuted in December 2015, “O Farol” is the first video released by Ivete Sangalo in more than 10 years.

Blackmagic Design today announced that DaVinci Resolve Studio was used for grading Man With A Mission’s new music video for the hit single “DIVE.” Motoki Tanaka, a colorist from Tokyo based post production company L’espace Vision, graded the video.

Blackmagic Design today announced the immediate availability of DaVinci Resolve 12.1 which adds dozens of new features such as remote rendering, 10-bit viewers, new editing and color correction tools, and more. The DaVinci Resolve 12.1 update is available now for both DaVinci Resolve 12 and DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio customers, and can be downloaded from the Blackmagic Design website.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Joe Finley of LA based post production facility Chainsaw, a SIM Group company, is grading HBO’s Emmy Award-winning series “Game of Thrones” with DaVinci Resolve Studio. Joe has graded the series with DaVinci Resolve Studio since 2012, and with season five’s finale in June, anticipations are already high for the season six premiere in 2016.
