Blackmagic Design today announced that Academy Award-winning DP Claudio Miranda, ASC, (“Life of Pi”) uses DaVinci Resolve Studio and the DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel for editing and color grading as part of his work as a cinematographer, as well as on his personal projects.

Blackmagic Design today announced that its digital film cameras, including the URSA Mini 4.6K and URSA Mini Pro, were used in the filming of a new science fiction thriller from writer and director Nguyen Anh Nguyen (“Akira Project” and “Temple”). Post-production for Hyperlight was completed in DaVinci Resolve Studio, including the edit and grade, while the visual effects were completed in Fusion Studio and overseen by VFX supervisor Santiago Menghini.

Blackmagic Design has today announced that its URSA Mini 4.6K digital film camera was amongst the camera packages used in the filming of Academy Award winning director Martin McDonagh's latest film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Fremont, CA - September 21, 2017 - Blackmagic Design today announced that multiple Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cameras and Video Assists were used to shoot the web movie for new LEXUS car, LC500. It was shot by Kei Takahashi, a Cameraman and founder of Tokyo-based KID Co. Ltd., on location on and above the highways of California.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Nina Chadha, Local 600 D.I.T., used DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel and DaVinci Resolve Studio for on-set color grading on commercials for Pepperidge Farms and Virgin Mobile. Chadha, who provided a full set of D.I.T. services for the national campaigns, also used a number of other Blackmagic Design products including a Smart Videohub 20x20 router, SmartView Duo monitor and UltraStudio Mini Monitor for on-set monitoring.

With the upcoming release of mac OS this month, it’s been announced that Final Cut Pro 7 will no longer be supported. To assist FCP 7 editors, we have prepared a short video that outlines the similarities between editing in DaVinci Resolve 14 and Final Cut Pro 7. This video also introduces many of the features that will help you get started with DaVinci Resolve 14. The video also includes a very quick introduction to color correction and audio post production.
