Ever since Apple blew up the happy world of FCP 7, we've been running into more and more people moving to Adobe and Avid. Adobe's been pretty good. I like them a lot and their support guys (I'm talking to you Bruce) have been awesome.

Editor's note: After seven years working with Apple's Final Cut Pro, we have decided to begin using the Adobe Production Suite. We were early adopters of FCP 7 and considered making the switch to FCP X. In the end, we felt more comfortable with Adobe's product than Apple’s FCP X.

It's no secret that Apple has neglected to update the Mac Pro line in any significant way since 2010. In fact, both the iMac and the Macbook Pro have gotten a few major revisions just in that time span, and many have turned to building Hackintoshes to satisfy the growing need for professional equipment (and to save a few bucks).
