Pixel Film Studios, a pro film and photo studio that specialize in wedding, sports and commercial production, and whose work has been seen on FX and TNT, also happen to be Final Cut Pro X plug-in and app developers. And they have released PROCUTX, an app that allows you to remotely control FCP X from your iPad. This is pretty cool stuff!

If you’re a trailblazing user of FCPX, 10.0.6 or newer, you may have noticed a bug: rendering your project after using certain effects leads to random frame glitches. According to Aharon Rabinowitz of Red Giant Software, the problem lies with FCPX and Apple. While Apple is aware of the issue, there has been no information on any upcoming patches.

Something weird is going on. We know the Mac Pro hasn’t had a substantial upgrade in some time. We know that something is looming over the horizon, but we don’t know what, exactly. We also know that Apple will probably over-charge us for it (or it wouldn’t quite feel right for anybody).
