      Blackmagic Desktop Video 12.0 Released

      To be able to output a legal video signal from your computer, you will most likely need some kind of external hardware that supports correct 10bit Rec.709 video signals @50Hz. Blackmagic, of course, has a whole range of solutions on offer that can do just that (and more): Their Ultrastudio line of I/O devices, for example.

      Senior Colorist Alex Berman Joins Goldcrest Post

      NEW YORK CITY— Senior Colorist Alex Berman has joined the team at Goldcrest Post. Berman brings more than 20 years of experience in color grading and credits across feature films, episodic television, documentaries, and commercials. His recent work includes The Family for Netflix and executive producer Alex Gibney, College Behind Bars for WETA, Washington, and executive producer Ken Burns, and Hip Hop: The Songs That Shook America for AMC and producers Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Tarik “Black Thought” Trotter. He has also graded advertising campaigns for United Healthcare, Ralph Lauren, and other national brands.

      Talking Monsters with VFX Super Denis Berardi

      Filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson extends his relationship with Japanese video game publisher Capcom beyond the Resident Evil franchise with the new action-packed sci-fi movie Monster Hunter. Partnering with Anderson on this year-end thrill ride are producers Jeremy Bolt and Dennis Berardi, who also serves as the visual effects supervisor on the cinematic adaptation.
