    Kicking off the 2011 AiR program on February 10, Mewshop welcomes Bobbie O'Steen, Emmy-nominated film editor and critically acclaimed author. Following her extensive work in the cutting room, Bobbie wrote Cut to the Chase, based on interviews with her late husband and colleague, legendary film editor Sam O'Steen. This fascinating book takes the reader behind the scenes of some of the most influential movies in motion picture history, including "The Graduate" and "Chinatown."

      Adobe software used by 82% of Sundance Festival fi

      Adobe is continuing its dominance in the film editing business, as an official survey of films appearing at the Sundance Film Festival finds Premiere Pro is the preferred editing software of the majority of the movies, with 56% of the films using the programme.

      Sundance 2020: The Importance Of Editing In “Boy

      With the Sundance Film Festival 2020 opening today, we decided to take a closer look at the “Boys State” screening in the U.S. Documentary Competition, a work that promises to be a political, coming-of-age film examining the well being of the American democracy. The documentary covers an unusual trial: The gathering of a thousand 17-year-old boys in Texas who band together to build a representative government from the ground up. Produced and directed by Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine, “Boy’s State” hones in on the story of four boys of diverse background as they attempt to establish a governor.

      1917's VFX Supervisor on Creating Immersion
