Noise Industries is a well known company within post-production community. They have been providing tools for professionals with plug-ins and filters for years now. Their latest offering known as FX Factory Pro 4 comes absolutely jammed packed with over 170 different plug-ins, filters, and effects. FX Factory support post-production programs from Apple’s FCPX, Motion to Adobe’s After Effects and Premier Pro.
When you first jump into FX Factory Pro 4 , it almost like being a kid in a candy store. So many different plug-ins and effects to try. I must admit I did spend a ridiculous amount of time just adding and removing various effects to fully see how they would effect my footage. It really reminds me of the old days with the video toasters, but far more professional looking, and more powerful.
FX Factory Pro 4 requires you to download the FX Factory engine. The FX Factory engine is a free download and will give even more access to trial versions of many third party applications. It acts as a hub for many third party software developers, such as Noise Industries, Yanobox, Ripple Training, Industrial Revolution and many more. It’s really hard not get uber excited when working FX Factory. The Engine will also provide you with video tutorials on a effects or plugin you wish to view. However keep in mind when using any of the trials, all your outputs will have a watermark.
FX Factory loads so easily into FCPX, and all of available transitions, and effects are easily accessible to preview or apply to my current timeline.
FX Factory Pro 4 is much more than a simple plugin for changing a few colors in a shot or adding a simple transition. It a very powerful tool with a huge selection filters, effects and plugins. They simple have the largest selection I have seen coming form any third party application. FX Factory Pro 4 takes a step further by not only providing with a hundreds of effects but also provide you support for various applications you have installed. FX Factory Pro 4 is simply a joy to work with. It has quickly become indispensable tool for my workflow. As a package FX Factory Pro 4 provides you with a great selection of effects, and plugins that make it invaluable The added support from other third party applications make it simply a no brainer.
