NMPA Postproduction 2016 Workshops at UNMCE The New Mexico Post Alliance is sponsoring a Postproduction Workshop Series 2016 in cooperation with UNM Continuing Education. H.265/High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is the successor codec to H.264, which, like H.264, is jointly developed by the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Experts Group and ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG). In part one, I described how tapeless cameras offer a wide choice of codecs, with some also having the ability to output raw and/or uncompressed files. The next step in the workflow is to choose an edit codec and then a delivery codec.
