Leap motion sensing tech Coming to Laptops?

Earlier this week, a newly minted company called Leap Motion revealed its first product, the Leap. It's a hardware add-on for the PC and Mac that, in the company's own words, contains motion sensing technology that is 200 times more accurate than anything currently on the market, in an obvious slam against Microsoft's Kinect device.

Custom Consoles completes edit desk suite in UK

Custom Consoles has completed installation of four edit suite desks at the UK post-production studios of a major international satellite broadcast network. All four desks match existing furniture designed and installed by Custom Consoles in two video suites, two audio post suites and two voice over studios.

Today, the Premiere Pro CS6 (6.0.1) update was released. If Adobe Application Manager hasn't already told you about this, go ahead and check for new updates by choosing Help - Updates. The best way to check for updates is by closing all Adobe applications other than Adobe Bridge, and choosing Help - Updates in Adobe Bridge; this ensures that all processes related to Adobe video applications have been quit and can be updated safely.

Kevin Tent and first assistant editor Mindy Elliott cut on Avid Media Composers (version 4.0.5) connected to Unity shared storage. Dailies were delivered by Fotokem on HDCAM-SR tape for Fox Searchlight, as well as Avid DNxHD36 media on FireWire drives to be ingested into the Unity system.
