Handbrake is an open source media transcoder that has been in development since 2013. The software is free to download and released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). The application allows users to rapidly convert video files from one format to another and is one of the most capable open source transcoders around. Handbrake is cross platform and works on Mac, Windows and Linux computers.
