A great addition to your Final Cut Pro workflow is to start using a keyboard shortcut to move from one tab to another. I recently added this to my workflow, and can't believe how often I use it. Becoming efficient at Final Cut Pro is all about little time savers like this one.

I normally carpool with my wife as she works only a couple blocks away from the ranch, and at about the same time. I can be flexible enough to sync my hours with hers. This basically just keeps me here an extra half hour, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as it's a little time window to tie up loose ends. This morning she asked me what was on my agenda for today, to which I replied lots of show editing.

Colin and Greg Strause came to Hollywood to become visual effects artists. They did that — they’ve contributed VFX to a long list of movies including The Book of Eli, Avatar, 2012 and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. They founded their own visual effects house, Hydraulx, in Santa Monica. And, in 2007, they directed AVPR: Alien vs. Predator — Requiem.The directing bug took; the brothers most recently directed and produced Skyline and have more projects on the way.
