Adobe Premiere - When the tool is the skill

I recently had a chance to produce some training videos and a DVD of a community theater project using Adobe Premiere. Previously, I'd been an iMovie sort of guy. I'd given up on finding a decent open source video editor, despite having a tweaked out Linux laptop that was ideally suited for video work (at least from a hardware perspective) and iMovie always did everything I wanted it to.

I think we'll see Avid Media Composer 6 in action. Since their last sneak peek I'm sure they have re-defined a few things and I truly hope that Avid has been listening to it's users. What Avid is promising at this point is Discover what has professional editors talking and find out how to edit like you've never been able to before.

First off, if you haven't seen the documentary "Catfish" you really should rent it. It's a funny look at a quirky love story that developed over Facebook. Because a lot of the communication of that film happens with computer screens, they decided to do something cool to give it texture.
