Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, the new film directed by three-time Oscar nominee Stephen Daldry, deals with one of the most fraught subjects that can be tackled by a filmmaker — the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Set in New York City between 2001 and 2003, the film sees the events through the eyes of a child who lived them.
