Mac Pro pricing and availability announced

Apple's Phil Schiller took time during today's presentation to provide new information on the updated Mac Pro. We now know that the Mac Pro will start at $2999 for the basic configuration, which features a 3.7GHz quad-core Xeon processor, 12GB of DRAM and dual FirePro D300 GPUs, and will begin shipping this December.
