Stereo 3D science was the only thing on the agenda yesterday as SMPTE kicked off its second annual conference on the subject at the Millennium Broadway hotel in New York City. Of course, massive amounts of RandD money have already gone into the art and craft of creating 3D imagery — but the topics of discussion at this event aren't so much what we already know as what we're still working to find out.
