To The Aotg.com Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will no longer be updating Aotg.com. Back in 2007, when we started, there was a lack of access to information about film, television, and commercial editing. We wanted to fix that by creating a central location for content about editing to be stored.

Since then, we've watched the amount of content about editing on the internet grow exponentially. We've also watched social media tools come and go with that growth. Does anyone remember Google Wave!? These social media tools changed how people access and search for media and information. People tend to turn to Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram for their news and information, and those are all great tools to promote your sites, but as a site that aggregates links to other sites for users, it just doesn't work for us.

We will keep the site live but archive the ability to add links and comments. We will keep our database live with the links for those who desire to use it to search for editing information and research.

Our podcast, The Cutting Room, will move over to the Filmmakeru.com website and will continue to be a place for interviews with editors and other film professionals.

Everyone who worked for Aotg.com loved what we created and are proud that we could help so many editors find content that spoke to them.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the various post events worldwide in the coming years!

Blackmagic Design today announced that New Wave Entertainment used its Fairlight DAWs for sound design on the advertising campaign for 20th Century Fox’s “Murder on the Orient Express.” Based upon the novel by Agatha Christie, the film follows thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone's a suspect as mysteries unfold during a lavish journey through Europe.

URSA Mini Pro 4.6K Shoots OldTown Documentary

Blackmagic Design today announced that Beijing based Lingfang Media Co., Ltd. produced a documentary for OldTown, one of the world’s most popular white coffee brands, completely with the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K. The documentary was also graded with DaVinci Resolve Studio and the DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel.

DaVinci Resolve 14 Studio Grades Budweiser Spot

Lez Rudge, colorist and head of creative at NYC-based post facility The Helm Creative, a Chimney Group Company, used DaVinci Resolve 14 Studio to grade Budweiser’s “One Last Ride” spot, a tribute and farewell to Dale Earnhardt Jr. toasting his retirement. In addition to a three minute web version, a 30 second spot aired during the broadcast of Earnhardt Jr.’s final NASCAR Cup race on November 26, 2017.

Blackmagic Design has today announced that its DaVinci Resolve Studio 14 was used to complete picture post, including the edit and grade, on a new commercial for Corona Extra, developed by the creative agency, Leo Burnett, in Mexico and lensed by director of photography Filippo Chiesa.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro and DaVinci Resolve Studio were used for popular singer Kana Nishino’s new music video for her song “Girls.” Nobu Sueyoshi both directed and shot the video, and Toru Miura, a colorist and DIT from Spice Inc., provided color correction.

Blackmagic Design today announced that a variety of its production and post products are being used by DPs, DITs, VFX artists, online editors and colorists to complete many of the fall 2017 season’s new and returning television shows and streaming series. More than 40 shows rely on Blackmagic Design’s digital film cameras; Fusion Studio visual effects (VFX), compositing, 3D and motion graphics software; and DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color correction and digital audio software.
