Since the mid 1990s, the Universal Serial Bus has held its own as the industry standard for cable and connection interfaces. The standard is so embedded in our technology that it’s been embraced by a long list of desktops, laptops, tablets, game consoles, and countless other electronic devices to some degree. It’s been ingrained in our culture to the point that most of us would probably assume its irreplaceability.
