To The Aotg.com Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will no longer be updating Aotg.com. Back in 2007, when we started, there was a lack of access to information about film, television, and commercial editing. We wanted to fix that by creating a central location for content about editing to be stored.

Since then, we've watched the amount of content about editing on the internet grow exponentially. We've also watched social media tools come and go with that growth. Does anyone remember Google Wave!? These social media tools changed how people access and search for media and information. People tend to turn to Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram for their news and information, and those are all great tools to promote your sites, but as a site that aggregates links to other sites for users, it just doesn't work for us.

We will keep the site live but archive the ability to add links and comments. We will keep our database live with the links for those who desire to use it to search for editing information and research.

Our podcast, The Cutting Room, will move over to the Filmmakeru.com website and will continue to be a place for interviews with editors and other film professionals.

Everyone who worked for Aotg.com loved what we created and are proud that we could help so many editors find content that spoke to them.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the various post events worldwide in the coming years!

Yours truly,
Gordon Burkell

How do you bring together almost 30 famous musicians and have them sing – in a single place – a remake of The Beach Boys’ ‘God Only Knows’? That’s the task the BBC set itself to help launch BBC Music, with butterflies and bubbles and a Bengal tiger all thrown in for good measure.

Those are the words of George Lucas to CBS’ Charlie Rose, during a public inteview at Chicago Ideas Week. Lucas created Star Wars for a film studio, 20th Century Fox, but negotiated to own the property (and all of its incredibly lucrative merchandising rights), and as soon as he was capable, he essentially operated as the biggest and wealthiest independent filmmaker in the world. Lucas financed his own movies, made them to his own specifications, and then only used the studios as distributors.

Steven Spielberg And Special Effects

ven as an adolescent filmmaker, Spielberg was always up for embellishing reality, be it through the crudest sleight of hand. To create explosions for wartime drama Escape To Nowhere, Spielberg dug two holes in the ground, put a balancing board loaded with flour between them which was then covered with foliage.

Story Pop es un generador de títulos para Final Cut Pro X que simula la escritura en una pizarra, para lo que tiene 448 elementos diseñados con sus respectivas animaciones.El proceso es simple, aunque debe hacerse agregando un elemento por vez. First broadcast in 1963, Doctor Who is one of the UK’s longest-running television shows. Its longevity is due in part to the unique ability of its hero – a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey – to regenerate his physical form, thus enabling successive actors to inherit the iconic role as the decades roll past.
