Stop-motion animation pioneer Phil Tippett (Star Wars original trilogy, Jurassic Park, RoboCop) is ready to unleash his “nightmare 30 years in the making” on audiences, when his experimental feature Mad God premieres at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland on Thursday, August 5. The Oscar-winning visual effects craftsman debuted the trailer Tuesday.

Park previously served as production manager on Coco and Monsters University, animation department manager on Toy Story 3, animation co-ordinator on WALL-E and art co-ordinator on Ratatouille. He most recently worked at UK animation firm Locksmith as associate producer on their upcoming feature Ron’s Gone Wrong.#pixar#animation

The nominations for this year’s Annie Awards, “ASIFA-Hollywood’s most glamorous event”, have been announced.
