Adobe isn't saying when it will be an official feature, but the above technology demo — given by Adobe's director of video product development Bill Roberts off the SIGGRAPH show floor to press and by Steve Forde in the NVIDIA booth (below) — shows how NVIDIA's OptiX ray-tracing engine powers potential new tools to easily edit extruded texts and other shapes inside an After Effects comp.
