In the marketing of video codecs see constant references to the resolution ( 4k, 5k, 8k! ), the frame rate ( 30, 60, 120, 200 fps ), the color depth ( 10, 12, 16 bits ) but rarely refer to the compression or bitrate which are the properties that best define the quality of a codec.
